The State Council’s Work Safety Committee has released its first inspection report into work production safety, calling on all regions to carry out its instructions.
The committee detailed the report – for the first half of this year – at a meeting on August 18, while also detailing plans for another inspection in the second half of the year.
Vice-Premier Ma Kai, who is also the director of the Work Safety Committee, addressed the meeting.
All regions and departments were asked to carry out instructions from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to strengthen production safety, while also attaching great importance to the inspection work.
The meeting also detailed requirements for inspection work to be targeted on specific issues, using efficient systems and high political awareness.
Eight inspection teams were dispatched by the Work Safety Committee to carry out a production safety inspection early this year. The inspection for the second half of 2016 will begin in September.
