Vice-premier meets Apple CEO

Vice-Premier Liu Yandong met with Apple CEO Tim Cook in Beijing on May 12.

Liu spoke highly of Apple Inc’s business development in China, and praised its cooperation with related Chinese ministries in science, technology and education. She said she hoped that the company continues to expand investment in China and does more to promote China-US communication and cooperation in these fields.

Cook said that Apple places great importance on business in China, and is willing to expand its business to play a constructive role in the development of Sino-US relations.
