State Councilor Yang Jiechi will attend the first China-US climate-smart and low-carbon cities summit in Los Angeles from Sept 15 to 17, as a special envoy of President Xi Jinping.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei made the announcement at a regular press conference on Sept 14.
