The People’s Bank of China issued 20,000 silver commemorative coins on Oct 24 to commemorate the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge, the world’s longest cross-sea bridge.

The commemorative coin, which is 40 mm in diameter with a face value of 10 yuan, carries China’s national emblem, name and the year on the front and has a blueprint image of the bridge on the back.

The special coins, each containing about an ounce (30 grams) of silver, were produced in Shenzhen and distributed by the China Gold Coin Incorporation.
