Premier Li Keqiang has finished a visit to Macao, where he attended the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. Prior to his departure, Premier Li said that his visit has achieved expected goals.
He said he believes there is more room for Macao to open-up and cooperate with the Chinese mainland. He added that Macao should continue to implement the “one country, two systems” policy and follow the Basic Law. He said that the government of the Special Administrative Region should carry forward the spirit of being inclusive, pragmatic and enterprising to build a better Macao. The Premier also said that the central government had recently introduced 19 new measures to support the region’s development.
They include supporting tourism, financial services, cross-border e-commerce and the healthcare industry.
