Premier Li Keqiang and his wife Cheng Hong arrived in Wellington on March 26, kicking off his official visit to New Zealand.

New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English and his wife welcomed Premier Li at the airport.

Premier Li said China has a sound relationship with New Zealand, and he is willing to take bilateral ties to the next level.

The visit also marks the first visit of a Chinese premier to the nation in 11 years.
