Premier Li Keqiang urged moving poor families out of remote mountainous area when he visited a village in southwest China’s Yunnan province on Jan 23.

People in the village lived in dark and cold shanties with livestock. Farmlands on the slope are infertile.

“These houses are unliveable, “ said the Premier.

He asked the officials to endeavor to relieve poverty by relocating poor families to urban areas.
