Premier Li Keqiang discussed Sino-German football cooperation with Governor of Bavaria Horst Seehofer, in Beijing on Nov 24.

Seehofer said he hopes that Bayern Munich would play matches in China next year, and also help China to train players so that one day the two countries would perhaps meet at World Cup finals.

Bayern Munich, or FC Bayern, a German sports club which is best known for its professional football team, is based in Munich, Bavaria.

Premier Li said that China hopes to enhance Sino-German sports cooperation as it would benefit the world - not only the two countries - if they combine their efforts.

Seehofer gave Li a No 8 Bayern Munich jersey featuring the Premier’s name and signatures of all the team members.
