Premier meets Speaker of Finland’s Parliament

On Nov 6, Premier Li Keqiang met with Speaker of Parliament Maria Lohela of Finland in Beijing.

The Premier spoke highly of the development of China-Finland ties, saying that China is willing to promote bilateral cooperation in Finland’s competitive fields, such as innovation, green energy, environmental protection and vocational education, to create a better future for bilateral ties.

He said China always holds the principle of mutual respect and equal treatment in diplomacy, which also is a significant principle to maintain world peace and diversified civilizations.

In reference to China’s development, Premier Li said in the past 30 years, China’s social and economic development have achieved huge successes through reform and opening-up.

In the future, China will further inspire market vigor and social creativity, make frequent communication and cooperation with other countries and promote free trade and investment convenience by expanding opening-up to achieve a win-win situation, he said.

Maria Lohela said Finland and China have always respected each other and have made fruitful achievements in terms of their relationship. Finland is willing to work with China for a long vision of bilateral ties that will benefit the two peoples, she said.
