Premier Li calls for more cooperation with Italy

Premier Li Keqiang welcomed Italian Senate President Pietro Grasso in Beijing on Dec 11.

Premier Li said China is willing to enhance high-level exchanges and political mutual trust with Italy, and to push forward pragmatic cooperation and communication with Italy in international and regional affairs.

While currently facing challenges, China’s economy has been improving as the country is developing new economic drivers in restructuring the economy, Premier Li said.

The Premier reassured China’s confidence in accomplishing its main targets of economic and social development for the upcoming year.

“China plays an important role in international affairs, and Italy believes firmly that China’s economy will keep a good momentum,” Grasso said.“Italy is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China under bilateral and multilateral frameworks in various fields.”
