Premier Li Keqiang on Nov 19 strongly condemned the IS extremist group for the death of a Chinese hostage, Fan Jinghui, who was kidnapped and killed by the group.

The Premier expressed deep condolences to the victim’s family, and asked the related departments to comfort Fan’s family.

He said that the Chinese government is paying great attention to the safety of Chinese nationals overseas, and will continue to enhance the protection of Chinese citizens and overseas Chinese agencies.
