BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, has announced the appointment and removal of several officials.
Zhang Kejian was named deputy minister of industry and information technology, head of the China National Space Administration, director of the China Atomic Energy Authority and head of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
Ren Hongbin was named assistant minister of commerce, and Fan Weiping was appointed deputy head of State Administration of Radio and Television (SART).
Wang Xiaohui, executive deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, will concurrently be head of the State Film Administration.
Zhuang Rongwen will concurrently be head of the State Administration of Press and Publication and the National Copyright Administration.
Liang Yan was named deputy head of the State Grain and Reserves Administration.
Zhou Huilin is no longer deputy head of SART.
