A Beijing Municipal Electric Power branch company in Daxing has launched a power line transformation project that will comprehensively change rural power structures, including telegraph poles, transformers, wires and electric meters. The Beijing Municipal Electric Power Company vowed to complete the coal-to-electricity transformation for 189,000 households before the heating season in 2016, and for 502,000 households by October next year, ensuring no coal is consumed for heating on the plain area in Beijing.
