Vice-Premier Wang Yang joined a panel discussion with political advisers from ethnic groups in Beijing on March 6.

Wang said it was an advantage of China’s socialist system to gather political advisers from ethnic groups across the country and listen to their advice.

One of the main tasks of CPPCC is to handle ethnic affairs, promote harmony among different ethnic groups, and achieve common prosperity, the vice-premier said.

He called for efforts to reduce poverty, protect the ecological environment in ethnic areas, increase exchanges among different ethnic groups, and enhance management of ethnic affairs work in accordance with the law.
