Ma Kai participated in a panel discussion on the report delivered by Xi Jinping at the opening session of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with delegates from Gansu province attending the congress in Beijing.

With its distinctive theme and profound thought, the report is an action plan for achieving the great dream of rejuvenating the Chinese nation, said Ma. “I totally agree with the report and fully support it.”

The report adheres to dialectical and historical materialism, with global and historical perspectives. It is a scientific judgment of the times, and a clear historical commitment, he added.

While acknowledging the achievements made in the past five years, the report pointed out current difficulties and challenges, and emphasized the unchanged basic national conditions in which China remains in the primary stage of socialism.

It also stressed that China will continue to see economic development as the central task and development remains the key to solving all problems of the country, Ma said.

“We are able to overcome any difficulty or any challenge along the road, as long as we unswervingly adhere to the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core, uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics, and stick to the new concept of development,” he added.
