Vice-Premier Liu Yandong said it is important to provide better culture service and promote the culture industry in China on July 14.

She addressed a symposium on culture management that day, saying that China should have confidence in its culture, inherit and innovate traditional culture and support culture in remote and poor regions.

The vice-premier also said China should encourage more ordinary people to participate in culture management, and encourage artists to create more great cultural works.
