Talented people are the most important resources, and both economic development and big technological innovation depend on them, said Vice-Premier Ma Kai at the opening ceremony of the 15th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, held in Shenzhen on April 15.

Against the sluggish global economic recovery and new-round industrial revolution in science and technology, all countries should join hands to strengthen talent exchange and create a good environment for growth, he said.

China is eager for talented people to work in the country as it is promoting development strategies, such as innovation-driven strategy, supply-side structural reform, the Made in China 2025 plan and the Belt and Road Initiative, according to Ma.

The vice-premier said that China is providing various opportunities for talented people by deepening reform in human resources, enhancing incentives in innovation and entrepreneurship, and improving plans to recruit high-level foreign experts to build better platforms for them.
