BEIJING — Vice-Premier Liu Yandong met with Toshihiro Nikai, chairman of the General Council of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party on Oct 31.

Liu said China attaches great importance to ties with Japan and is ready to work with Japan to promote friendly cooperation and people-to-people exchanges based on the four political documents signed by the two countries, and the four-point principled agreement they reached in last November.
