Vice-Premier Wang Yang met with a delegation led by Inger Andersen, director general of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Beijing on Oct 25. Andersen was in China to attend the First World Forum on Ecosystem Governance.

Wang said the Chinese government attaches great importance to ecological civilization and that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the IUCN. He hoped that the forum can play its role as a global communication platform to help achieve a sustainable development goal.
