Vice-premier hopes for surge in entrepreneurship and innovation

Vice-Premier Ma Kai said on Oct 22 that the government and society at large should all provide support to give free rein to the ingenuity of young people and create a surge in entrepreneurial and innovative activity.

Young people, with a spirit of entrepreneurship and exploration, should take an active part in establishing businesses and making innovations, said Ma at the award ceremony of the final competition of the 2015 youth entrepreneurship and innovation competition.

Ma stressed that governments at all levels must create favorable policy and institutional environment and public service system that encourages mass entrepreneurship and innovation, adding that society in general, including people’s organizations, public welfare organizations, enterprises, and the news media, should also provide support and guidance.
