Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli lauded ties between China and Belarus when he met Belarusian Vice-Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin on July 8 in Beijing.

Describing Belarus as China’s good friend and important partner, Zhang said both sides should fully implement the consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders during President Xi Jinping’s May visit to Belarus, and push Sino-Belarus relations into a new level.

Zhang also noted that the China-Belarus industrial park highlights the two countries’ efforts on building the Silk Road Economic Belt and said China is willing to enhance coordination with Belarus to make the park a model for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Kalinin said Belarus attaches great importance to its relations with China and is willing to actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the industrial park project.
