Vice-Premier Wang Yang met separately with Angolan Minister of State and Head of the President’s Civil Office Edeltrudes Costa and Hannelore Kraft, premier of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in Beijing on April 20.

The vice-premier told Edeltrudes Costa that China and Angola should implement the consensus reached by their leaders.

Wang also said both sides should strengthen cooperation in investment, infrastructure, agriculture, and finance with the assistance of the Advisory Committee on China-Angola Economic and Trade Cooperation and other mechanisms, so as to develop a closer relationship between the two countries.

During his meeting with Kraft, Wang said North Rhine-Westphalia is at the forefront of trade and investment cooperation between China and Germany. Wang also said China welcomes cooperation between North Rhine-Westphalia and China’s provinces and cities, in areas such as industrial transformation, environmental governance, education and culture - thus further promoting Sino-German ties.
