BEIJING — Vice-Premier Wang Yang met in Beijing on Dec 14 with a group of top US think tank members.

The two sides exchanged views on China-US economic links and other issues of common interests.

The US citizen guests include Brent Scowcroft and Joseph Nye, the co-chairmen of the Aspen Institute of the United States. They are in Beijing to attend the second China-US Policy Dialogue, which is held in the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) from Dec 13 through Dec 15.

The China-US Policy Dialogue is a nonofficial, nonprofitable and open forum for Chinese and US think tanks and experts to exchange views on China-US relations and other issues of global significance. The forum is co-sponsored by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and the Aspen Strategy Group.

The first policy dialogue was held in Washington in June, 2013.

The current dialogue is aimed to provide policy consultation for both countries’ decision-makers on building a new type of major power relationship between China and the United States.
