Serbian PM meets State Councilor Zhao Kezhi

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with visiting State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi in Belgrade on May 18.

Zhao conveyed Premier Li Keqiang’s good wishes to Brnabic, hailing the solid political trust and friendship between the two countries. The bilateral pragmatic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) is becoming increasingly intense, he said.

China is willing to deepen cooperation with Serbia in the security area, and align the Belt and Road Initiative with Serbia’s development strategy to strive for prosperity and stability for people of the two countries.

For her part, Brnabic said Serbia pays great attention to bilateral relations and will actively participate in the Belt and Road construction to carry the ties forward.

Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council Meng Yang, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping, and Assistant Minister of Public Security Nie Furu also attended the meeting.
