State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Rwandan Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, who came to Beijing to attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, accompanying Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Sept 1.

Wang said China stands ready to enhance cooperation in various fields with Rwanda, including infrastructure construction and mining development.

The upcoming forum will pass a Beijing declaration and an action plan to push the China-Africa comprehensive strategic partnership up to a new level, the state councilor said.

For her part, Mushikiwabo said Rwanda will undertake its responsibility as a rotating chair of the African Union to support China to hold a successful and fruitful summit.
