Wei Fenghe, state councilor and defense minister, met with Venance Mabeyo, chief of the Tanzania People’s Defense Force, in Beijing on May 23.

Reviewing the time-honored all-weather friendship between China and Tanzania, Wei fully affirmed the fruitful cooperation in a wide range of fields.

Wei also proposed further dedication by both military forces to increasing practical bilateral collaboration, pushing forward construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and all the way up to structuring a community of shared future for mankind, with China-Tanzania ties growing continuously.

Mabeyo agreed, and said Tanzania will also strive to let bilateral military bonds scale new heights, in a bid to bring more benefits to people of both countries.
