State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun met with Mongolian Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Byambatsogt in Beijing on May 8.

Guo said that he hopes both sides can implement consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in striking separatism, extremism and terrorism, fighting cross-border organized crime, controlling drugs, border defense and exit-entry administration, safeguarding border security and promoting bilateral relations.

Mongolia is willing to improve cooperation in law enforcement and security with China for the benefit of the people of the two countries, Byambatsogt said.

Cooperation documents were signed after the meeting.
