State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun urged effective public security measures during the coming holidays, including Christmas, New Year and Spring Festival, speaking at a national public security agencies’ video conference on Dec 23.

He said authorities must fully implement anti-terrorism policies and crack down on crime, conduct effective patrols, alert and deal with security risks in a timely manner.

We should shoulder the responsibility of protecting people’s lives and property and prevent accidents during the holidays, he said.
