State Councilor and Secretary General of the State Council Yang Jing has urged local governments’ general offices to optimize services, improve efficiency and strengthen supervision in the coming year to make sure significant policy measures such as stabilizing growth and restructuring the economy, are well implemented.

Yang made the remarks at a conference, which was held in Beijing during Dec 21-22 and attended by representatives of local governments’ general offices.

Yang said governments’ general offices should serve economic and social development, and pursue a kind of development that is innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared.

“General offices should come up with new service models, try to simplify and optimize procedures, and integrate the ‘Internet Plus’ model with government services,” he said.
