State Councilor Yang Jiechi will hold a new round of border talks during his visit to India from March 23 to 24, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei announced.

Yang Jiechi, China’s special representative on the border issue, is heading to India at the invitation of Ajit Doval, India’s national security adviser and special representative.

China and India have so far held a total of 17 rounds of talks on this issue.
