Defense Minister Chang Wanquan met Cuban Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces Leopoldo Cintra Frias in Beijing on Dec 10.

Chang, who is also a State Councilor, said the military friendship between China and Cuba is an important part of their bilateral relationship. He also said China is willing to work with Cuba to deepen military ties between the two countries with more exchanges and cooperation — so as to promote the development of their ties.

Cintra said Cuba cherishes its long-term friendship with China, and is committed to further communicate and cooperate with Beijing, so as to take the bilateral military relationship to a new level.
