Some 600 people, including military representatives from 28 countries and representatives from the United Nations, International Red Cross, and Association of Southeast Asian Nations Center of Military Medicine, will participate in the event, said Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, at a press conference in Beijing on July 26.

The theme of the annual meeting is “Challenges and Solutions: Strengthening Global Health.” This will be the first time that the Chinese and US military co-host the APMHE in China, said Ren.
