Flight timetable:

Flight timetable of international flights is based on printed information. The flight timetable, flights, aircraft types and stopovers are subject to change without notice.

Reservation:

Passengers can reserve seats on international flights through airline ticket office or its sales agents.

Passengers who have the seat reserved for international/regional flights shall buy the tickets within the time limit; otherwise the reservation will be cancelled.

Passengers who have the seat reserved for international/regional flights, including multiple-segment trips, shall cancel the reservations at ticket offices or sales agents in advance, if they decide not to use the reserved seats.

Re-verification:

Passengers who have reserved seats for sequential, international, or regional flights shall re-verify their reservation at least 72 hours before the takeoff, if they are staying at the departure city for more than 72 hours,or the reservation will expire automatically.

They do not have to re-verify if they are staying for more than 72 hours at the departure city of the sequential or the returning flight.

Ticket:

Passenger ticket (including luggage ticket) is a transport contract between the carrier and the passenger as well as a boarding pass and a credential for checking the luggage.

Validity Period of Ticket:

Ticket is only valid for the passenger whose name appears on the ticket. Tickets are not transferable and cannot be altered. Any transferred or altered tickets will be void.

Normal fare tickets that are either one-way, roundtrip or multiple segments are valid for one year. The validity period of special tickets are calculated according to related regulations.

Children’s fare:

Children between the ages of 2-12 years old can travel using the Children Fare. Infants under the age of 2 years old can travel at a 90 percent discount of the published fare of first class, business class or economy class but will not have their own seat assignment.

Airport fee:

International passengers departing from the international airports of the People’s Republic of China shall pay an airport fee of 90 yuan, except for passengers with diplomatic passports, passengers transiting within 24 hours and children under 12 years old. 

Ticket refund:

Passengers who are not able to travel in accordance with the scheduled flights due to reasons on the part of the carrier, or of the passengers’ own accord can apply for a refund according to applicable regulations. The refund must be processed at the original ticket office or places authorized by airlines.

Free baggage allowance by weight:

Passengers of international and regional routes are entitled to free baggage allowance as follows: 40 kg for first class, 30 kg for business class and 20 kg for premium economy and economy class. There is no free baggage allowance for infants who get 90 percent discount of the normal price.

Free baggage allowance by piece:

Passengers of international routes between China and the US/Canada are entitled to the free baggage allowance by piece as follows:

-- Two pieces for first and business classes. The maximum dimension of each piece shall not exceed 62 inches (158 cm)

-- Two pieces for economy class and discounted ticket holder. The maximum dimension of each piece shall not exceed 62 inches (158 cm), and the total dimension of the two pieces shall not exceed 107 inches (273 cm). The maximum weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kg.

-- One piece for infant who gets 90 percent discount of normal price, the dimension of which shall not exceed 45 inches (115 cm). Babies can also consign for shipment of 1 folded/portable baby carriage or handcart for free

Extra pieces baggage or baggage exceeding maximum dimension are subject to extra charge by weight.

Carry-on baggage:

In addition to the free baggage allowance, each passenger can carry on a handbag, a coat or raincoat or blanket, a cane or an umbrella, a few of reading materials, a minicamera, a spyglass, some pablum, a bassinet and a folding wheelchair or a pair of crutches or artificial limbs. Items forbidden to carry on board are flammable and explosive items, corrosives, poisons, toxins, radioactive materials, magnetic materials and other dangerous items.

Items prohibited in carry-on or checked baggage:

Passengers shall not take flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxin, radioactive, polymeric, magnetic and other dangerous items in carry-on or consigned baggage.

Passengers shall not take items that are forbidden to be carried and transported inward, outward or transited in China, according to national laws and regulations, or other items restricted for transportation.

Passengers shall not take firearms, or carry prohibited articles onboard, such as weapons or edge tools. Valuable hand-carry items, such as gold, silver, jewelry, banknotes, securities, documents and contracts, etc., cannot be put in checked baggage.

Travel documents:

International passengers shall be prepared with passports, visas and other travel documents before departure. Passengers shall carry their passports, visas and other travel documents around, and shall not leave them in the checked baggage. The carrier takes no responsibility for a passenger’s loss or expenses caused by his or her incomplete preparation of travel documents, while he or she is reliable for the carrier’s loss ((including but not limited to fines) caused by the same reason.

Consignment of goods:

International goods to be consigned shall first go through the customs inspection, accompanied by all the necessary certificates for the goods. The transportation of the goods must accord with relevant provisions of the import, export and transit countries involved through the transportation.

Contraband goods:

Flammable and explosive items, corrosives, poisons and toxins and other dangerous items are prohibited to be consigned. The carrier must give a security check of the goods.

Dangerous goods:

Dangerous goods are allowed on international flights, but the names, quantities and packaging shall abide by relevant provisions specified by the carrier.
