Premier Li calls on Chinese in Australia to help ties

Premier Li Keqiang has called on overseas Chinese to boost cooperation between China and Australia.

He made the remarks at an evening reception held by overseas Chinese in Sydney, before the he left to New Zealand.

The Premier said China and Australia are committed to protecting free trade, regional stability and world peace. He also noted that China is still the world’s largest developing country and has a long way to go in its modernization.

Premier Li called on overseas Chinese to invest in China and act as friendly envoys in communication between China and Australia.
