Premier Li Keqiang has met with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev during his official visit to Kazakhstan.
Premier Li said China is willing to help the country increase its industrial production capacity, and called on the two countries to strengthen coordination under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Nazarbayev echoed Premier Li, saying Kazakhstan stands ready to work closely with China, including within the SCO framework.
Premier Li and his Kazakh counterpart Bakytzhan Sagintayev held their third regular meeting. He encouraged both countries to search for more potential in industrial production. Sagintayev said Kazakhstan would like to integrate its new Bright Road economic policy with China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
After the meeting, both Premier Li and Sagintayev attended a launching ceremony for a J.A.C. automobile factory, a major cooperative project between China and Kazakhstan.
