Premier Li calls for practical cooperation at East Asia Summit

Premier Li Keqiang attended the 11th East Asia Summit in Vientiane on Sept 8. He called for practical talks and cooperation in the face of challenges in the world economy.

The Premier also said he hopes to promote regional interconnectivity and accelerate the establishment of free trade zones.

He said China always observes the principle that all countries, big or small, are equal. He added that China hopes all countries can seek common ground while coexisting peacefully and not dwelling on differences.

After the summit, Premier Li attended a press conference for the Joint Leaders’ Statement on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
