A reception has been held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark China’s 66th National Day on Sept 30 in Beijing.
President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang attend the activity, alongside over one thousand people from China and abroad.
Premier Li delivered a speech during the event. He hailed the great achievements made during the past 66 years. He said China’s economy remains in a healthy growing trend this year, despite the world economic downturn, adding living standards had also improved.
The Premier noted that development is the priority for national rejuvenation, saying China must unwaveringly and comprehensively deepen reforms and further open to the world. He added that China will continue to promote the rule of law.
