Premier Li meets French president, prime minister

Premier Li Keqiang has met with French President Francois Hollande, and his French counterpart Manuel Valls.

Li agreed, while meeting with Hollande, to set up a mutual fund to support their joint cooperation with third parties. Li called on the two countries to consolidate cooperation in traditional fields such as nuclear energy, aviation and space.

Li also urged the two nations to expand their cooperation in such emerging areas as finance, digitalization, and sustainable development. Regarding the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference, Li stressed that Beijing is ready to push for positive results at the global gathering.

Li also held talks with Valls. The two leaders pledged to promote practical cooperation. They also attended a news conference at the Matignon hotel in Paris.
