Premier Li Keqiang visited a hospital in Central China’s Hubei province, where several survivors rescued from the capsized passenger ship are receiving treatment.

Zhu Hongmei, 65, was the first person to be found by divers on June 2.

Li, who is at the site directing rescue operations, advised Zhu to concentrate on getting better, assuring her that the government would properly deal with the aftermath of the accident.

Jiang Geng, 35, was also rescued, after floating in the river for four hours. Li told Jiang not to worry about his medical expenses, saying the government would cover the cost.

Talking with two other injured men, Li inquired about the situation while they were trapped on the ship and asked them whether they had heard the shouts of other people calling for help.

Li also expressed his appreciation to all the medical workers in the hospital.
