China calls for intensified exchanges of all levels

Premier Li Keqiang has met with the visiting Speaker of the National Assembly of South Africa, Baleka Mbete on April 7.

Li highlighted the development of bilateral ties. He said China is willing to intensify exchanges of all levels and to seriously implement the cooperation deals.

The Premier noted China and South Africa are highly complementary in trade and economic cooperation with great potential. He said China will encourage its enterprises to invest in South Africa’s special economic zone. Li also promised to enhance the cooperation in exploiting the oil and gas resources and developing the marine economy.

Mbete expressed thanks for China’s continuing assistance for Africa and for the fight against Ebola virus. Mbete also expressed willingness to expand cooperation and strengthen communication and exchanges.
