Premier Li meets CELAC leaders

Premier Li Keqiang has met with Costa Rica’s President Luis Guillermo Solis, Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa, Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Beijing on Jan 8.

The leaders are paying visit to China in attendance of the 1st Ministerial meeting between China and CELAC, the community of Latin American and Caribbean States.

Li’s meeting with four countries’ leaders focuses on key issues to establish further cooperation across continents such as infrastructure. The outcome from the dialogues will be released later in a news conference. China’s trade with the Latin America community has seen significant growth over the past decades.
