Premier Li Keqiang inspected a medical institute studying high-altitude-related illnesses and visited patients on July 27 in Lhasa, Southwest China’s Tibet autonomous region.

High-altitude-related diseases are the main health threat to the people living on the plateau and also deter those who want to live in and travel to Tibet, the Premier said.

He expressed hopes that there will be a breakthrough in the research as soon as possible to eliminate people’s worries.
