Premier Li Keqiang hailed Wuhan free trade zone (FTZ) in Hubei province for providing government affairs services online, when he visited the zone on Dec 11.
During his visit to Wuhan FTZ, Premier Li asked the people handling the government affairs service center about whether they had installed the mobile app called “government affairs assistant”.
He had earlier heard a report that due to the efforts of the FTZ to promote online administrative review, company employees can now handle affairs related to industry and business, tax and social insurance via the app, which features facial recognition technology.
Online public services both help the public and ensure security of information, as the whole process of administration work is archived, the Premier said.
The next step should focus on the goal that “online administration is normal and offline is an exception”, he added.
