Premier Li Keqiang arrived in the Macao Special Administrative Region at 11:28am on October 10 for his first inspection of the region.

Macao Chief Executive Chui Sai On welcomed Premier Li at the airport. With a red carpet and welcome music, two-hundred Macao children held flowers, waved five-starred red flags and the symbol flags of the Macao SAR, to welcome the Premier alongside other senior officials.

Premier Li delivered a short speech to the Macao media, saying it was his first inspection to Macao, and that he hoped the greetings and wishes from the central government could be delivered to the public.

Macao is a treasure land of the Chinese mainland, and it is also a successful example for implementing the principle of “one country, two systems”, the Premier said, adding that he hoped to visit more places, see more views, and listen to more voices in Macao to experience its development and changes.
