Canada lays out the red carpet to welcome Premier Li Keqiang’s first official visit to the country as streets of its capital Ottawa fly Chinese and Canadian national flags ahead of the trip.

Premier Li’s visit after his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau’s trip to China within one month shows strengthening of bilateral relations, according to Canadian media.

Premier Li’s visit will be a complete success, said Canadian Ambassador to China Guy Saint-Jacques.
