Premier Li Keqiang met with Thongloun Sisoulith, the prime minister of Laos, on Sept 8. Premier Li said China is willing to boost cooperation with Laos to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He also praised the comprehensive strategic partnership with Laos, based on mutual political trust, economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
With the two leaders as witnesses, their countries signed more than 20 cooperation agreements covering industries such as manufacturing, trade, investment, technology and education.
Earlier, Thongloun held a welcoming ceremony with an honor guard review and the presentation of flowers at the prime minister’s palace.
