Premier Li meets chairman of Mongolian parliament

Premier Li Keqiang on July 14 met with Miyeegombyn Enkhbold, chairman of the State Great Hural, Mongolia’s parliament, in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.

Premier Li congratulated Enkhbold’s election as new chairman of the State Great Hural, saying that China-Mongolia relations are making new progress. He stressed that China attaches importance to the development of relations and cooperation with Mongolia, and is willing to work with Mongolia to maintain the friendly tradition, strengthen high-level exchanges and deepen pragmatic cooperation in key fields such as agriculture and animal husbandry, infrastructure construction and finance, to promote economic development and improve people’s livelihood.

The Premier said that exchanges and cooperation of legislative bodies is an important part of bilateral relations. He welcomed the new State Great Hural of Mongolia to continue regular exchanges with the National People’s Congress of China, and the parties of the two countries can also strengthen exchanges on governance.

Enkhbold said that Premier Li Keqiang’s visit is of great importance to strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries. Mongolia’s State Great Hural will pay close attention to and promote the implementation of the important consensus and achievement reached by Premier Li and Mongolian prime minister, striving to provide a good legal environment for Chinese enterprises to invest in Mongolia and deepen exchanges and cooperation with the National People’s Congress of China.

“Mongolia’s new government will maintain the continuity and stability of its policy on China, strengthen pragmatic cooperation with China in every field in the hope of developing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries,” said Enkhbold.
