China and Albania vowed on Nov 26 to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction.

In a meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Beijing, Premier Li Keqiang said that China and Albania enjoy a long-term friendship, adding that China is willing to connect with Albania in development strategies and turn good political relations into substantive cooperation results to benefit people in both countries.

The Chinese government supports domestic enterprises in construction of ports, railways, power grids and industrial parks in Albania, the Premier said.

China and Albania should expand cooperation in financing, mining and agriculture, he said, adding that he hopes Albania will make Chinese investment and tourism more convenient.

Rama said Albania values relations with China and has high hopes for development of bilateral ties.

Albania welcomes China’s role in infrastructure construction and hopes to expand cooperation in agricultural trade and tourism, Rama said.

He also said Albania is willing to streamline the visa process for Chinese citizens.
