When Premier Li Keqiang inspected a piece of high-standard farmland in Changge of Henan province on Sept 24, a farmer, grasping the Premier’s hand, exclaimed excitedly, “Premier Li, we finally have you back!”

Premier Li Keqiang worked in Henan for seven years starting in 1998, first serving as Henan’s governor and later as secretary of CPC Henan Provincial Committee.

Seeing the Premier off, Henan people entreated him to come back often.

When Premier Li Keqiang inspected the farmland in Changge of Henan province on Sept 24, he inquired about the corn crop, agricultural modernization and land circulation.

The Premier checked the new type of corn and climbed in a harvester to learn about its function.

He called for various kinds of appropriate scale management according to the situation of China’s countryside.
