Communication between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Council has always been smooth, Premier Li Keqiang said during a conference on national strategies to develop science and technology on July 27.

“We often receive suggestions from academicians. Other leaders of the State Council and I read each suggestion carefully, and refer the suggestions to relevant departments for careful consideration,” the Premier said. “The Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and their academicians are an important force leading scientific innovation. The country needs you to participate more in helping it make better decisions.”
